A focused send flow
The send money flow surfaces exchange rate, fees, and delivery time before asking for details, so users know what they are committing to upfront.
Fintech & Financial Services / 2026
One product experience across web and mobile, for money transfers that reach 180 countries.
ZipCoin Remit is a cross-border money transfer platform. We designed the full product in Figma — 20+ web pages and a complete mobile app — then built the web app in React and the mobile app in Flutter.

Project overview
The project spans a 20+ page React web app and a Flutter mobile app, covering the core remittance flows — send, receive, wallets, airtime top-up, and refer & earn — alongside full KYC, onboarding, and account management.
The challenge was making complex cross-border financial transactions feel safe, simple, and fast across two very different screen contexts.
The challenge
Cross-border remittance is a high-trust, high-friction category. Users are sending real money to people they care about, often across slow or unreliable connections. The product had to feel secure and professional on the web and fast and native on mobile.
UX approach
Every flow was designed around reducing hesitation: fewer steps, clearer feedback, and a consistent information hierarchy across web and mobile.
The send money flow surfaces exchange rate, fees, and delivery time before asking for details, so users know what they are committing to upfront.
The wallet screen presents multiple currencies with balances, recent transactions, and quick actions — Fund, Send, and Airtime — in one view.
Onboarding and KYC are structured as a clear sequence of steps, with progress visible throughout, so users know how close they are to being verified.
A refer and earn flow with a personal referral code and commission tracking gives users a reason to share the app, built into the mobile dashboard.

UI and product direction
The visual language uses a deep navy base with gold accents to signal security and reliability, with clear typographic hierarchy to guide users through dense financial information.
Our process
We scoped all 20+ web pages and the full mobile app, identifying shared flows and where web and mobile needed to diverge.
We designed both platforms in Figma, building a shared component library to keep the product consistent across web and mobile.
We implemented the web app in React, covering all core flows: send, receive, wallets, airtime top-up, KYC, and account management.
We built the mobile app in Flutter, covering splash, onboarding, dashboard, wallets, refer and earn, and the main navigation menu.
Execution
Both builds share a common design foundation. The web app covers the full product surface — marketing pages, authentication, and the core remittance app. The mobile app delivers the high-frequency flows natively in Flutter.

Impact
The completed product gives ZipCoin Remit a consistent, professional presence on web and mobile, covering all the core flows a remittance platform needs to serve diaspora communities and cross-border users.
Closing perspective
Fintech design at this scope reinforced that consistency is a trust signal. When users see the same component behaviour, the same colour for an action, and the same feedback pattern across two platforms, the product feels reliable — and in money transfer, reliable is the whole product.
